Push the body straight down until the text plate contacts the paper. When pressure is released, the spring mechanism lifts and re-inks the plate automatically.
Why alignment matters
A flat surface and vertical press help distribute pressure across every letter. Rocking the body sideways can create an uneven mark, especially near the edges.
