The best signal is the mark itself. When otherwise even impressions become consistently pale, the internal pad may need time to recover or a small refill.
Extend useful life
Keep the stamp closed, upright, and away from direct sun or high heat. Refill carefully instead of flooding the pad, then test on scrap paper.
